UPDATE FOR 9th APRIL 2023
KCG posters and banners highlighting the consequences of the two massive housing developments proposed for Chiswell Green have been targetted and destroyed each night since Saturday.
Keep Chiswell Green produced the temporary signage to alert local residents of these planned developments and the years of noise, traffic and pollution they would bring to our village. They are also designed to make a powerful statement of opposition to the Planning Inspector when he visits the proposed sites in advance of next week’s Public Inquiry, where planning permission will be finally decided.
Nightly, our signs are knocked over, ripped up, thrown into bushes and our banners slashed. We have reported this vandalism to the police who are viewing it as criminal damage and inhibition of freedom of speech.
